Hello everyone! I hope you have been enjoying the holiday season 🙂 I was able to spend a few days back home with my family so I definitely wanted to be present in that.
But I am back this Monday morning with a super simple and tasty recipe!
Chia seeds are a super food I have been incorporating into my diet for some time now. They are a great source of plant protein and offer a large amount of nutrients like fiber and Omega 3s. They have also been proven to reduce chronic inflammation and are a powerful, natural antioxidant!
This porridge recipe also contains other beneficial ingredients which make it a healthy midday snack or breakfast to curb the appetite 🙂 This will need to set over night, but the next day, you will have a delicious chia porridge!
To make this, you will need:
1 8oz Jar
2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
1/2 cup almond milk (or alternative milk of your choice, unsweetened)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 TBSP raw honey
1/2 cup fruit of choice
Combine all ingredients except for fruit in jar and give a good stir
Place lid on jar and store in fridge over night
Top with fresh fruit and enjoy! It reminds me of a pudding, packed with flavor and healers 🙂
