Hemp Milk Recipe

Hemp seeds have been a huge part of my diet for some time now. One way I incorporate them into my day is by making a vegan milk out of them! This is a super simple recipe and one I am happy to be sharing šŸ™‚

But before we get into this recipe, I wanted to share some benefits of adding hemp seeds and milk to your diet. Hemp seeds are an abundant source of plant protein. I like to keep the seeds from this recipe and add them to my smoothies šŸ™‚ You can also add them to oatmeals, yogurt, anything that sounds good to you. I recently roasted them and put them on a salad, so delicious!

Both the seeds and milk have an essential amount of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. These benefit our skin, hair, and nails! This is a big change I have noticed in my body recently.Ā  My hormonal breakouts are really subsiding, my hair feels super soft and shiny, and my nails are strong and sturdy!Ā  This also gives you more energy that lasts throughout the day! I like to wake up at 5 am during the week and be in bed around 9-10.Ā  So to have that full day of more mental clarity and alertness is major in my productivity and life.Ā  I’m not saying hemp milk does this all alone, but I have noticed these benefits to be more prominent by adding it to my life.

If you’re looking for something to boost your immune system, hemp milk is the way! When I was learning about holistic foods for my vascular disease, I also learned that hemp can reduce the risk of blood clot formation and reduce blood pressure.Ā  This is one of the reasons I began to add hemp milk to my life šŸ™‚

There are many more benefits that hemp seeds and milk can provide, but I think it’s time to get into this recipe!

I usually make this recipe unsweetened, but on this day, it was raining outside and a touch of sweet sounded nice šŸ™‚

To make this recipe, you will need:

Add all ingredients to a blender. If using a smaller blender, feel free to split the batch into two šŸ™‚

In a big glass jar (I use the quart size) or storage container, rubberband cheese cloth and strain milk through.Ā  Most of the seeds should catch and I ring them out and the end of the process. This allows all the creaminess of the milk to catch and the seeds to dry šŸ™‚

I then store my hemp seed pulp in a smaller jar and use them in my smoothies or find other recipes to use them in!

Both jars will last you for 7 days stored in the fridge.Ā  Feel free to add hemp milk to your morning coffee, oatmeals, smoothies, or drink an 8 oz glass a day (really yummy when it’s warmed in the evening)!

I hope this recipe finds you well. Enjoy all the benefits from Earth šŸ™‚

Love and Light,

Stefani
